We volunteered at an adoption fair for the humane society here in Hawaii. She had already been at the shelter for 3 months, she had already been featured as the pet-of-the-week and the adoption fair was her last chance before being euthanized. I held her leash all day and everyone just walked right past her without even a second glance. As we were driving back to the humane society to drop her off, I had tears in my eyes.
